Client: National Tested Seeds
National Tested Seeds is a Zimbabwean based seed company under Kencor Management Services (Pvt) Ltd, specialising in high quality certified seed varieties including vegetables, oilseeds, small grains, legumes and cereals. Their integrated retail arm, FarmShop, operates a network of one stop agricultural input stores across Zimbabwe offering seeds, fertiliser, agro chemicals, animal health products, stock feed and related hardware. To reinforce the company’s digital presence and support both its informative seed production narrative and its e-commerce retail operations, the project entailed designing and developing a comprehensive website plus online shop. The objective was to present NTS’s brand story, agronomic leadership and wide product offering, and to enable direct access to retail inputs via the FarmShop channel.
To meet NTS & FarmShop’s objectives, our team adopted a structured, brand‑aligned and user‑centric methodology:
Discovery & Planning: Engaged with NTS senior management to clarify their core seed production story. Thereafter we identifies target audiences and mapped information architecture covering: seed, product catalogue, agronomy support and retail flows for FarmShop.
Design & User Experience: We developed a clean, modern visual look and feel reflecting NTS’s professionalism and FarmShop’s accessibility. We also created intuitive navigation separating “About NTS / Seed Production” from “FarmShop, Shop Now” for seamless journeys for both informational users and purchasing users.
Content Development: We developed clear, authoritative copy to communicate NTS’s heritage (“Since 1978”), seed production standards (including ISO 9001 certification) and product breadth. For the FarmShop, we structured content to highlight its network of branches, product range, agronomy support and ease of shopping online and in store.
Technical Implementation: We built the website on a responsive, mobile optimized framework (critical for African rural and mobile users), ensuring fast load times and accessibility across device types.
We also implemented a secure e‑commerce module for the  Farm Shop; product catalogue, filtering by crop, product pricing, checkout and order tracking.
Support: We currently provide ongoing content updates and technical maintenance (security patches, mobile compatibility, performance reviews).

With this project, National Tested Seeds & FarmShop are now better positioned to serve Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector through both knowledge driven content and responsive retail service bridging corporate seed expertise with practical retail input delivery.
