Client: The African Capacity Building Foundation
The African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) is a pan-African organization focused on driving transformative human and institutional development across the continent. Their mission demands a strong digital presence to match their mandate: communicating initiatives, sharing knowledge, facilitating partnerships, and mobilizing stakeholders across multiple countries. Quatrohaus was engaged to redesign and rebuild their website (theacbf.org) to better reflect their stature, improve usability, and ensure their online platform could support the breadth and depth of their content and programming.
To meet ACBF’s objectives, Quatrohaus adopted a comprehensive, user-centred approach:
Discovery & Strategy: We began by auditing their existing website to identify gaps in content structure, usability, and performance. We aligned on key goals: clarity of messaging, ease of navigation, responsive design, improved content discoverability, and performance.
Design & UX: We delivered a clean, modern visual design closely aligned with ACBF’s brand identity, emphasizing readability, strong imagery and videography and intuitive layouts.
Development & Implementation: We developed a responsive, performant site optimized for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. We implemented robust content management tools allowing for simplified content management. We optimized load times, accessibility, and cross browser compatibility to reach audiences across regions with variable connectivity.
Launch & Ongoing Support: After launch, we established maintenance processes and built in analytics tracking to measure engagement, findability, and site behaviour.
The redesigned ACBF website delivers a modern, mobilefriendly experience with improved navigation, faster load times, and optimized content discoverability. The team now manages publications, events, and media efficiently, while visitors enjoy clear, engaging access to key resources. The site elevates ACBF’s brand presence, strengthens credibility, and supports its mission of driving pan‑African capacity building with measurable impact.
